The Fleurieu Peninsula is one of eight olive growing regions in SA, and one of about 30 regions around Australia. The Fleurieu Peninsula Olive Association has been established in recognition that a collaborative network will help growers compete more effectively in the emerging Australian olive oil and table olive market than individual groves.
We are an enthusiastic and dedicated group of olive growers that administer the Fleurieu Peninsula Olive Association. The majority of the members groves are relatively small, between 500 - 1000 olive trees, with a few growers having 2,000 - 10,000 trees. All, however, are growing commercial quantities of quality olive products for commercial gain. Each member has committed to pre and post harvest handling guidelines as outlined in the Fleurieu Peninsula Olive Association's Best Practice Guidelines to ensure only premium quality olives are produced.
